I rebuilt my personal site from scratch, and this time I did it right. No static site generator to install, no Ruby dependencies to manage, no build scripts scattered across my system. Just Emacs, org-mode, and a custom package I built to tie it all together.

Dwarf Fortress is game with old looking ASCII graphics, procedurally generated worlds, characters and lore. What's not to love about it.

I've decided to migrate binder from a static blog generator to a static wiki engine. This is so that I can better capture and organise my thoughts, learnings and projects.

In an attempt to get over a case of [[https://twitter.com/NanaOAdane/status/1484731437265920004?s=20][coder's block]], I built myself a static generator. It's called *binder*. /It's what generated what you're reading now./

So here I am in the middle of the night creating my first statically generated blog. I never got a hang of blogging (before this]. I tried using many platforms. [Blogger|http://jackof1trade.blogspot.com/], [Tumblr|http://w-r-x.tumblr.com/] (I must admit my Tumblr blog loooked the coolest], Wordpress and even Medium but they never allowed me to type in [Vim|http://vim-adventures.com/] as I am now :p. Basically what I did here was to get [Hexo|http://hexo.io/] installed, figured out how to get themes for it and finally how to write post and deploy.
